regression

Refers to the functional relationship between two or more related variables. It is often determined empirically from some data. When the values of other variables are given, this relationship can be used to predict the value of a variable. In hardware systems , Regression testing is used so that it is not necessary to use all possible test vectors. For example, for a two-input AND gate, there are four possible logical vectors that can be applied. Regression testing can only test one or two of these vectors If it can work normally, it can be considered that the AND gate can work correctly.
