Leonardo Spectrum

LeonardoSpectrum is a HDL logic synthesis software produced by Mentor, which can make it easier to innovate and manage programmable SoC designs used in communications, broadband, wireless and multimedia fields.

With LEONARDO SPECTRUM, you can use VHDL or Verilog language. LeonardoSpectrum is developed by Mentor Graphics. It is not only very convenient to operate, but also has the powerful control capabilities and optimized features of workstation-level ASIC tools.

The software has three logic synthesis methods: SynthesisWizard (synthesis wizard), Quick Setup (quick completion), FlowTabs (detailed process). Which method to use is to click the shortcut icon on the toolbar or select LEONARDO SPECTRUM from the Tools menu. It is a very good logic synthesis software. With LEONARDO SPECTRUM, you can use VHDL or Verilog to create PLD, FPGA and ASIC components. LeonardoSpectrum is developed by Mentor Graphics. Leonardo Spectrum is a synthesis tool developed by Mentor Graphics. And manage FPSLIC design. LeonardoSpectrum's operation is very simple and supports various complex design methods. Designers can precisely control their FPGA design and obtain the best design results to meet all their design requirements.

LeonardoSpectrum is a professional VHDL/Verilog HDL synthesis software of Exemplar Logic, a subsidiary of Mentor Graphics. It is easy to use and has strong controllability. It can be synthesized and optimized in LeonardoSpectrum and generate EDIF files as the compilation input of QuartusII. The software has three logic synthesis methods: Synthesis Wizard (synthesis wizard), Quick Setup (quick completion), and Advanced FlowTabs (detailed flow) methods. The functions completed by the three methods are basically the same. The Synthesis Wizard method is the simplest, and the Advanced FlowTabs method is the most comprehensive. There are six options in this method, as shown in the figure, which respectively complete the following functions: device selection, design file input, constraint condition specification, optimization selection, output netlist file setting And choose to call the place and route tool.

Corresponding help is provided for each operation above, which is simple and clear. It should be noted that when inputting the design files, the order of the files must be correctly arranged, putting the bottom file on the front and the top file on the back, so that the LeonardoSpectrum software can correctly establish the data information database. After the synthesis is complete, you can use the output netlist file (.EDF) as the design input file of MAX+PLUS II or Quartus II, and then complete the steps of compilation, simulation, timing analysis and device programming to complete the design process of the entire system.
