Table 19.1 details some of the available Xilinx IP that utilises each of the various AXI4 interfaces.

As previously mentioned, the standard AXI4 interface is the high-performance version of the interface, best suited for more demanding IP requiring consistent, high-speed performance.

AXI4-Lite features a smaller hardware footprint than its counterparts and so ideal for

lower-performance IP requiring minimal hardware utilisation.

As the name implies, AXI4-Stream is best suited for applications requiring a constant

stream of data.
